Privacy Policy
Applies to the Vantap website and messaging platform, operated by Axis Optics LLP. Last updated: October 2026.
This policy covers Vantap only. It does not apply to the Axis Optics lens distribution website or business.
Who we are
Vantap is operated by Axis Optics LLP, registered at 234 Pilibhit Bypass Road, Ashish Royal Park, Bareilly, Uttar Pradesh 243006, India. Contact and grievances: contact@axisopticsllp.com.
Our role
- For businesses that use Vantap (our clients), Axis Optics LLP decides how their account information is used.
- For a client's own customers (the people who receive WhatsApp messages), the client business decides why and when to message them. We process that data only on the client's instructions, to deliver the service. Questions about why a business messaged you are best sent to that business; we will help them answer.
What we collect
- From client businesses: business name, contact details, the WhatsApp Business Account and phone number they connect, the access granted by Meta to manage that account (stored encrypted), message templates, and billing details.
- From Meta when a business connects WhatsApp: the business logs in with Facebook Login for Business inside Meta's Embedded Signup. We receive only an authorisation code and the IDs of the WhatsApp account and number the business chose to share. We do not read or store the person's Facebook profile, name, picture or friends.
- About a client's customers: phone number, optional name, the record of their opt-in (source, date and reference) and any opt-out, the content of messages sent to or received from them, and delivery status (sent, delivered, read, failed).
- Our website uses no analytics or tracking cookies. Our hosting provider may keep standard server logs (such as IP address). The Vantap admin dashboard uses a single session cookie to keep you logged in.
How we use it
- To send messages through Meta's WhatsApp Business Platform on behalf of the client business, and to report delivery status back to it.
- To enforce consent: we refuse to message a number without a recorded opt-in, and we stop messaging a number as soon as its owner replies STOP.
- To manage the client's message templates and keep track of its number's quality rating.
- To provide support, bill for the service, keep it secure, and meet our obligations under Meta's policies and Indian law.
We do not sell personal data, use it for advertising, or message anyone for our own purposes.
Who we share it with
- Meta (WhatsApp), to deliver messages and manage the client's WhatsApp account.
- Amazon Web Services, which hosts Vantap in its Mumbai region. Vantap's data is stored in India.
- The client business and the software it connects to Vantap (for example its CRM), which receive delivery updates and replies for their own customers.
- Public authorities, only when Indian law requires it. We act only on written requests that state a legal basis, review each one, challenge requests that appear unlawful or too broad, disclose the minimum required, and keep a record of every request.
How long we keep it
- Message content (the text of messages and template values): deleted 90 days after the message.
- Delivery records without message content: about one year, then deleted.
- Consent records (opt-ins and opt-outs): for as long as the client's account exists plus one year, because they are the proof that a person agreed to be contacted or asked to stop.
- Client account information: while the client uses Vantap. When a client leaves, we return its data on request and delete or anonymise the rest within 30 days, except what the law requires us to keep (for example invoices).
Security
Data is encrypted in transit and at rest. Access tokens are additionally encrypted by Vantap, and API keys and passwords are stored only in hashed form. Access to client data is limited to people authorised by Axis Optics LLP, and every access to a client's contacts or messages is logged. If a breach affects your data, we will inform the affected client businesses promptly and, where required, the authorities.
Your choices and rights
- Stop messages: reply STOP to the business's WhatsApp number. You will get a confirmation and no further messages unless you reply START.
- Access, correction or deletion: contact the business that messaged you, or write to contact@axisopticsllp.com. When we delete a number, we remove the name and message content and keep only a one-way code so the number is not messaged again by mistake.
- Facebook data deletion: if you connected Vantap through Facebook, follow the instructions on our data deletion page, or email us.
We respond to requests within 30 days.
Changes to this policy
We will update this page as the service develops and change the date above. Material changes will be told to client businesses before they take effect.
